PRIMARY CARE AT TWO RIVERS DAYCARE

Each child is assigned a primary care provider—a dedicated teacher who is primarily focused on that child. This primary caregiving approach allows children to build deep trust and secure attachments with their teachers, mirroring the loving and consistent care that God provides for us as our Heavenly Father. While all teachers in the classroom are attentive and able to meet your child’s needs at any time, having one special teacher who is particularly attuned to your child’s unique personality, rhythms, and needs offers families added peace, security, and ease of communication.

In the classroom, Two Rivers maintains exceptional teacher-to-student ratios across our three age groups, ensuring individualized attention and nurturing care. In our infant cohorts, the ratio is four children to one staff member. Our toddler cohorts enjoy a ratio of five children per teacher. In our preschool cohorts—our largest group—we maintain a caring 10:1 student-to-teacher ratio.

Guided by Christian principles, our primary teachers prayerfully help design the learning experiences at the heart of our project-based curriculum. This curriculum emerges from the genuine interests of each cohort, with teachers serving as gentle guides and co-learners. We emphasize the process over the product, allowing children to explore God’s wonderful world individually or in small groups while teachers collaborate alongside them, fostering curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

SUPPORT STAFF

In addition to our primary teachers, each classroom is supported by a dedicated team of caring staff members who share our commitment to Christ-centered care.

Break support teachers ensure that every primary teacher receives needed breaks and a full one-hour lunch each day, while also providing extra hands-on support in the classroom.

Our substitute teachers are an essential part of our school family. When a teacher is absent due to illness or vacation, we call upon well-trained, familiar substitutes who step in seamlessly, maintaining the continuity of loving care and routine that helps children feel safe and secure.

At Two Rivers Daycare, every staff member—from primary teachers to support roles—strives to reflect the love, patience, and kindness of Jesus in their interactions with children, families, and one another.
